Brian's love for building began right out of high school when he joined A Frame Remodeling & Home Repair and gained hands-on experience in framing, roofing, siding, and home renovation across the Quad Cities. He continued building throughout his life, including serving as his own general contractor to build your family home, which gave him a deep, practical understanding of how a home should be built from the ground up.
Before launching Big Picture Construction & Design, Brian spent nearly 17 years as a civilian employee for the Department of the Army. He advanced from machinist to management and then into quality oversight, where he was responsible for ensuring processes, production, and personnel met strict military standards.
Today, Brian brings that combination of real world construction experience and military level precision to every project. Clients value his approachable style, craftsmanship, and commitment to delivering durable, high quality results.

Operations Manager / Owner

Heather brings over 20 years of federal logistics experience to Big Picture Construction & Design, where she oversees operations, proposals, scheduling, and client communication. Her background managing multimillion dollar contracts at the Rock Island Arsenal, along with her MBA from St. Ambrose University, equips her to lead projects with clarity, precision, and professionalism.
As operations manager, Heather ensures every build stays organized, on schedule, and transparent from start to finish. Clients appreciate her steady communication, attention to detail, and the smooth, predictable process she helps create. She and Brian have been married for 11 years and have four beautiful children.
Together, they lead their family and business with faith, determination, and a genuine compassion for others.
